Prosecutors have learned their lesson from the debacles of the Duke Lacrosse case and the Ray Lewis trial. Sure a high-profile celebrity trial can still be a windfall, bringing fame and fortune to an ambitious DA, but it can also ruin their career too if it all goes south. So, now they actually make sure to have all their t's crossed and their i's dotted before they move forward with anything.

Like they did in OJs and Ray's cases. They shouldn't have been charged to begin with.
Cochran knew the glove wouldn't fit OJs hand. That's what killed the case and he became
the dumbest prosecutor in history until the Atlanta one came along.

Ray's boys got off when the defense attys showed an example of the big champaign bottle
they used to hit one of the defendants over the head with while he was still in the limo.
Ray got his boys out of the place and into the car and the OHio boys followed them out
with guns. Ray's boys had knives. The knives won. Once the jury saw that that bottle it
was a no brainer that it was self defense.

The original investigator was relieved from the case for advising the DA not to prosecute
at all for lack of evidence. There was absolutely no evidence on Ray which is why the
    charges were eventually dropped.

So these officials are being more careful.

Trap - Cochran wasn't the prosecutor. That was Christopher Darden and Marcia Clark. And in that case, it wouldn't have mattered what evidence they had. They could have had a clear videotape of OJ nearly decapitating Nicole Brown, and the racist jury still would have found him not guilty.

    Just thought I'd interject...

Right. I didn't say who he was. Next time I'll spell it out. I thought everyone knew Cochran was the atty the most famous one in the country after that case and you're spot on about the jury but that Clark was one hot prosecutor and bitch.

I see what you mean. That is bad writing.

Again, I was assuming that everyone knew Cochran was the atty and the HE was referred to
the prosecutor in the case w/o naming him/her. I'll be more specific the next time.

    Geesh.

LOL - Yea, but this is a better pic, I think. Nice legs? and the NY Times book review seems to agree with me. Note the adjectives brainy, sexy and brash. My kind of bitch.
