Not sure how you can say Birk is overrated. He looked like the best C in football down the stretch at the age of 35. If anything he's underrated, only remembered for the bad games like the 2011 AFCCG, but forgotten for the great games he had, like the SB game.

Re: I know I shouldn't let it bother me...
I'm only putting this here because it's about that ass hat Dameshek.
Did any of you watch the video for Ed Reed ranking at #18 in the list of top 100 NFL players of 2012?
This same idiot that thinks Ray Lewis Is overrated as a Ravens player, decided at 1:26 into this interview WITH ED REED that it would now be a good time to start talking about how great Troy Polamalu is and let's turn the discussion to the 2008 seasons SB between the Cardinals and Steelers.
Kurt Warner is at the desk while all of this is going on and quickly does the classy thing and gets the conversation back to the topic at hand Ed Reed's ranking at #18.
This Dave Dameshek is just like all of those trolls over at Baltimore Sun's Ravens message board, trying to turn every conversation into a Steelers thread. Why is this moron on the NFL Network?

Re: I know I shouldn't let it bother me...
Bart Scott had one big year in 2006, got voted to the Pro Bowl, then settled into being an average LB who because of his loquaciousness + moving to NY became more famous than his play alone would've gotten him, which to me means he was overrated.
Birk may have been a top 5 Center in 2012, but he wasn't in 2010 or 2011 (when those varicose veins started bothering him) yet I remember quite a few sites/people ranking him as one of the top centers during those seasons too. Even though it seemed like very time he went up against any D-Lineman with a decent bull rush, he got manhandled. So, for 2 of his 5 seasons with the Ravens, IMO he was overrated. I'll give him credit though for finishing strong in the end.
I'll admit, that while I could think of plenty of Ravens who've been underrated, I was hard=pressed to come up with any who were overrated.
Also, right before he signed with the Ravens, Elvis Grbac was definitely overrated. (Forgot to include his name)
