I know I shouldn't let it bother me...
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...rs-of-all-time
Really?!?!?!
Ray Lewis is the most overrated Ravens player of all-time?!?!?!?!
Put down the crack pipe and step away from the ready rock, Dameshek.
He does go on to say that it's because of Ray's last five years, but it just goes to show that these people who make these lists NEVER WATCH RAVENS GAMES.

He's also a Steeler's homer.

Re: I know I shouldn't let it bother me...
Dameshek is an unabashed Steelers homer (his twitter background is of Heinz field)....
But it did seem like this year was the first where it was universally agreed upon (by fans and analysts alike) that it was time for Ray to retire. It wasn't a sudden drop from best in the league one year to time to retire the next, he was fading for a couple of years. He made the Pro-Bowl (last year?) when Cushing probably had a better year.

Re: I know I shouldn't let it bother me...
I know, I've never even heard any Ravens fan ever say that Trent Dilfer was the greatest ever QB. The most I have ever heard any Ravens fan say about Trent Dilfer was that he shouldn't have been cut the year after the Ravens won their first SB. He should have been given the chance to at least compete for the starting QB job the next season, but I would never say he was the best QB the Ravens ever had.

Re: I know I shouldn't let it bother me...
The other guy called Dameshek out at the end of the segment and he back tracked a little. He said he will still go down as the GOAT, but that the last five years, he's been overrated.
If we're focusing *just* on Ray's abilities in coverage, yes, he'd have a point. But the past five season, Ray has been right up there in the tops of the league in tackles.
Comes across as a bitter homer. He's already taking heat in the comments section.

The guy is looking to get noticed. The only other player he could pick and get attention would be Ed Reed. So he probably figured that Ray would make even bigger waves so he went with Ray.

Dummyshek is in such dire need of having someone shove a shod foot so far up his GI tract that he'd need to put shoe polish on his toothbrush...

Re: I know I shouldn't let it bother me...
Sounds like a jealous, bitter Squealer fan to me. He's already bitter about having an 8-8 season last year while the Ravens are World Champs. But also because the Ravens might actually be better next season, while the Squealers might be the 3rd best team in the division.
Fuck him.
