Now we have to wait another month for the draft!

Re: Draft Day and Start of League Year Moved Up
A lot of teams like this because it gives them more time to evaluate / workout FAs as well as the draft class. With the compressed schedule in the past, some were complaining that they had to pick and choose who they saw.
At least that's what they're saying now...

Did they mention what part of May? The draft currently was in April, but during the last couple of days of it. How much of a difference in May would depend if it's toward the end of it or not.

Re: Draft Day and Start of League Year Moved Up
They're saying the change is for 2014 only and no decision has been made after that. It's due to a schedule conflict at Radio City Music Hall. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl-mak...4067--nfl.html
I wish they would consider moving the draft like they move the Superbowl. It would give fans of other teams a chance to see it live and I know a lot would like to do that. Why limit it to NY?

Boooo, have to wait another month.
And I agree that they should move the draft around so more fans have a chance to see it. Nashville has a really nice Music hall, and we have the convention center, etc....

Re: Draft Day and Start of League Year Moved Up
They keep it in NY because it's a guaranteed hyped up and loud crowd and pretty much full for most of it. NY is a destination spot so they do end up with fans of every team there which looks good for TV. I know they talked about moving it around when they went to this new format but the ratings have been so strong that right now it's a dead issue.

Re: Draft Day and Start of League Year Moved Up
Well that goes right through our anniversary. I'll either have to take the wife on a mini-vacation, where I won't be paying 100% attention to her OR leave a pile of $ on the kitchen table so she can have a great time with her sister (my lovely sister-in-law) and leave me to the draft. What do you guys think ? A or B ? Keep in mind I'm a loser either way... Bc
