Chris Canty says Joe Flacco is a better quarterback than Eli
I just read this article, that is a pretty good statement. I am a die hard football fan, but I am not sure I can say that this is true right now. Over time I think Flacco will be a very elite QB, but do you think he is better than Eli?

Of course this is what Canty is going to say.
If he says otherwise, it's an immediate and certain distraction.

Maybe he's just awestruck because Joe added 15 pounds of muscle and is super hot now.

Re: Chris Canty says Joe Flacco is a better quarterback than Eli
Statistically theyre the same. Id still argue that hes had more talent around him and a better oc/system. As a QB id say flacco was better than eli 2 years ago.
I dont see why hed say anything different. Nothing to gain and almost every player goes the company line of their QB being the best if he worth half a damn.-JAB

No not all of them say that. I'd imagine if Boldin said something like that a few of you wouldn't be too happy. I think the two are similar in that all they accomplished they rarely get the same respect as their peers.

Re: Chris Canty says Joe Flacco is a better quarterback than Eli
Joe has never lead the league in interceptions; Eli has. Yes, they pass the ball more in Jersey since a guy like Ray Rice is not on their team, but even if we become a pass-first offense, I don't see Joe ever leading the league in picks. He doesn't make as many stupid throws as Archie's kid. But if you ask me, I think Canty said this because of his current team. You put a gun to his head and his answer might be different.

Listen, Eli is clutch, he is a great QB, two-time SB champion etc. To date, he is a better QB than Flacco but I personally like Flacco a little better. Not an indictment on Eli, just a preference for Flacco.

Re: Chris Canty says Joe Flacco is a better quarterback than Eli
drocks--
I always have difficulty with "who's the better player" debates - rarely, if ever, do I see a definition of what "better" means. When that is specified, the conversation makes a lot more sense to me. At this point, if Manning has 2 SBs and Flacco 1, then that makes Eli #1.
OTOH, if MY team has Flacco and he's the reigning SB champ.....;)
