    Re: Available ILB's per Rotoworld

Fingers crossed that many of you are right in assuming that:
    1) Jameel comes back to what he was before the injury (which was not stellar anyway)
    2) A Brown steps right in as a rookie

Oz will find someone, I know.

The upgrades on the Dline should take some pressure of Brown and whoever is starting next to him. I like McClellan if Mclain isn't ready to go. We should be OK with who we have, it will be a good competition to watch during camp.

Does anyone know if Bryan Hall has lost a bunch of weight yet? It takes time but this dude is a work out warrior, so it wouldn't surprise me.

In my estimation, 47 of our 53 spots are set, barring injury

You have the following people competing for those last 6 spots.

    Berry
    Rainey
    Allen
    Furstenberg
    Laquan Williams
    Streeter
    David Reed
    Harewood
    Jensen
    Carr
    Bryan Hall
    McAdoo
    Adrian Hamilton
    Meshak Williams
    Chris Johnson
    Marc Anthony
    Omar Brown
    Emanuel Cook
    Anthony Levine
    You forgot Aaron Mellette.

I think much of how the ILB situation shakes out will depend on the availability of Jameel McClain. That's still a question mark, but the situation should become much clearer in training camp. By then they should have a handle on Jameel's health, and the abilities of guys like Bynes and Carr. I could see A. Brown and A. McClellan as ILB starters come the opener in Denver. Depth might be needed, though, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Ravens add a veteran. That could happen any time between now until just before the regular season after teams have made their cuts.

    I don't think Mellette is a factor until 2014.

My guess is that it happens a week (or 2) before final cuts. We give a conditional 7th (ala Barnes) to some team who is going to cut someone and will take whatever they can get for him.
Caveat is right price, we aren't taking on a big contract in the process... if that is the case, we wait for them to be released. (But I'm not certain if a waiver period in in effect for 24 hours, and we are last in the waiver line)

But does that mean he won't be competing for that last WR spot?

I agree that he likely won't be a factor this year, but he very well could beat out Reed, LaQuan Williams, and even Streeter. Especially if he can play ST's.

Ozzie will probably sign some mid-level vet that half the board has never heard of like Paris Lennon. Then he'll play great during the season and we'll all be saying we knew it would happen.
