I'll try to make it down. Parking is a bitch down there on the weekends from the fells
all the way out to Rt 95.

See the thread about the super bowl rings. I mentioned the Packer's ring with the 4 diamond
studded footballs on it symbolizing all their trophies.

We'll need a scouting report from you before the Packers arrive. We can exchange
info on players, who's out and what not.

Why the hating on Pickles? I went there with visiting friends a few years ago the night before a Ravens game -- found it to be lively. no rip-off prices. Admittedly it's not a Fells Point pub, but there's a transportaion trade-off when staying at the Hilton, which is an easy & safe walk from Pickles .... important factors when overdinking!

btw: did I read it correctly above that you Wisconsonites are planning to stay in Pittsburgh? It's a waste of time. My family spent decades in that area, including running a speakeasy during the Depression and laboring in the steel mills. I've been to Pitt area many times to visit relatives & friends, and to attend Ravens-Steelers games. The only good thing that I can say about Pittsburgh is: It's not as bad as Cleveland!

You are wasting your time stopping off there.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

    FYI: BEWARE!!

The Baltimore Marathon is on Saturday, October 12th, so you can expect blocked streets and nightmare traffic on Saturday before the Packers' game (October 13). Your hotel is just about ground zero for the race, so you aren't going anywhere by car that morning. You can, however, stroll the festivities that accompany the running festival. They happen in the stadium parking lots. Semi-crappy bands and food - that kind of thing.

Hell, if you are runners, you could sign up for the 5K or the half-marathon. You probably get some Under Armour shirt or something. http://www.thebaltimoremarathon.com

Definitely Fells Point for bar hopping. Hit Little Italy for dinner on your way down there from the hotel.

Tailgating on Sunday, absolutely. Baltimore does it pretty well. And you shouldn't have any issues with the fans, as Green Bay is not viewed as a biter rival.

Yea, Camden Yard and Mista T above and Admin Greg tailgate on J lot with several members from this forum lot or used to. They might have moved to a different lot but if they post their location you can say hi to those dudes. I'm sure they'll give you a shot, or um Ouzo - T's favorite.

Unfortunately Lot J is no more because of casino construction. We are still looking for a new home.

Watch some Homicide: Life On The Streets too. If you go to Fells Point you will recognize a lot of the TV "crime scenes."

Hope you have a great time packfntk! That game is on my birthday this year so I'm particularly looking forward to it. Feel free to stop by my tailgate lot at the corner of Ostend and Sharp streets for a beer and shot!

I went to Green Bay for the Ravens/Packers MNF game in 2009 and it was absolutely the best road trip game I've ever taken (even though the Ravens lost). Lambeau is amazing and the fans were all extremely nice and friendly. Hope Baltimore fans can return the favor to you guys this year!

Good to hear you had a good time and were treated good, most of us try to create that atmosphere, but of course you get the knuckleheads in with the crowd.

So is M&T loud? Do you have any unique traditions or things the crowd does differently? That is the thing I love most about going to away stadiums is seeing the different things they do.

Yea, loud. And there is the Seven Nation Army thing, which isn't entirely different, but strong.

Here's a good video from two seasons ago that talks about the home field advantage.
