Their defense's weakness was behind their linebackers...their safeties.
They did address that with Ed and their draft pick, Swearinger.
And their best linebacker will be back.
So, their defense could be even better.
On offense, yes, Hopkins is a huge addition and could really boost the offense.
It means a defense has to cover the entire field, not just the side with Johnson.
And another plus...Shane Lechler, P, from Oakland, should help with change of field position.

Texans on paper look strong again this year. The Colts are still young and lost the coach who really got them to overachieve last year. The Titans are completely flawed and always in transition. The Jags just flat out suck and need a ton of help. The Texans are going to own that division again next year.

But if you say that to a Texans fan, they might start a fight with you.
I was gonna say, they still have Kubes as HC.

They wanted Brown. Ozzie knew it and moved up and stole him from them and they took Ozzie's next favorite guy Swearinger not Sio Moore.

I wouldn't say they are being written off. In fact most places have them ranked higher than the Ravens. But I agree that they will never be among the leagues elite until they get a QB that can consistently win games, and stay healthy.

They did make a move and signed a first ballot HOF FS this off-season.

The Texans have been tough for a couple of seasons now and will be a tough team again this year. It's just they are in the same predicament as the Ravens, small market team that gets over looked.
