AS a friend of mine who lives in MD reminded me when I said this seals the deal O'Malley won't be Pres, "You underestimate the power of stupidity, wasn't Obama just reelected".

High taxes never equal higher revenue.

Read anything by Dr Art Laffer or "The Laffer Curve". It was controversial when it first came out but now he's been proven mostly right.

Chicago just closed 11% of its schools because of its debt. Article dated 23 Mar 2013.

This isn’t going over well at the Marxist Chicago Teachers’ Union and its insane boss, but it’s hard to demand higher salaries “for the kids” when the kids are going elsewhere.

So Obama’s own godfather is trying to kill the beast with another approach by closing a whole bunch of useless underpopulated schools.
