Getting me pumped up for September. Great piece. I agree with all his comments except re Boldin.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

nice article, thanks for posting. Glad to see a Raven article that doesn't say 'they're rebuilding'

I must admit to being shocked that this came from Schein. All I heard last year was anti-Raven from him. Maybe I need to listen to him again.

I've never found him to be anything other than objective.

I think that rubs some fans the wrong way.

Knew you would all like it. Can not wait to upset the world on the road again.

Great article and my favorite line.

Terrell Suggs will be healthy for a full year. Haloti Ngata is a beast. Those two -- not Reed and Lewis -- have been the best players on the Baltimore defense of late.
Reed and Lewis are legends of the game, but Suggs and Ngata have been better recently not all time.

Just saw this too, I like how Brian Billick didn't get all anti-Ravens like Trent Dilfer after the split.

Did I really just read that from Schein?

Seriously though, when you step back and look at how things have fallen into place, it leaves you in awe. All this prior to the draft too. Simply an amazing organization from the top down.

It's amazing how few non-Raven fans are aware of that. Ray was the 5th or 6th best player on defense this year.

I think with the AFC North more open than ever (Steelers were elite for a while) the Ravens look really good in the short and relative long run. I think Dalton has leveled off and we know the Steeler woes. Meanwhile we look strong, and our cap looks lean for the foreseeable future. It's hard not to be optimist for this Ravens organization

The Bengals could always put in one of those solid years like they do every once in a while. But with the Steelers picking up the pieces of several years of pushing cap money into the future and the Browns in perpetual rebuilding mode, the Ravens should be primed for a nice run at their third straight division crown.

I never found Schein to be anti-Raven and I think this article proves it. The way we limped into the playoffs I can't blame him for picking against us.
