Re: BA believes he was cut partially because of his activism

Ravens response from a Sun article...

The Ravens, who officially announced Ayanbadejo’s release Thursday after he spent five seasons with them playing primarily on special teams, denied that the player’s views and outspoken nature had anything to do with the roster decision.

“We’re surprised that he would indicate this. We have always been respectful of Brendon’s opinions and his right to express those,” said Kevin Byrne, the Ravens' senior vice president for public and community relations. “Our decision regarding his departure from the team has everything to do with football. Nothing else.”
    .
    .
“When I think of a Baltimore Raven - we go in there, we take your lunch box, we take your sandwich, we take your juice box, we take your applesauce, and we take your spork and we break it. And we leave you with an empty lunch. That’s the Baltimore Raven way.” - Steve Smith Sr.

Call me a Special Teams coach again. I dare you! I double dare you, MFer!

Beyond lame, 20 years dated, and probably offensive for the past 10 years or so. It's 2013.

With all that said, Brendon Ayanbadejo was cut because he's old. His advocacy was not an issue.
"A lot" is a two word expression denoting a great deal or greatly, as in "I like sunshine a lot." "Alot" is a lovable imaginary grammar monster. You can love a lot; you can love an alot; you can love alots a lot; but they are not the same thing.

I agree with Ayanbadejo's stance on the public policy at issue at hand, but I find his insinuation ludicrous. He has been outspoken in support of gay marriage for years. He was similarly outspoken last year -- and the Ravens resigned him to a three year contract knowing his record of advocacy and in spite of his age. He needs to start thinking clearly on why he was released, accept it and move on. If the Ravens were going to use his advocacy against him, they would have done it last year -- or years before.

Wasn't there a big issue where a state representative wrote Bisciotti and asked him to have BA silenced and Bisciotti came back and said they would do no such thing?

    Yeah...here

in my opinion what he's saying is the same thing a lot of people have been saying about Pollard, Reed and Boldin, that the Ravens are parting ways with the loud guys, just because they are loud guys, and that just isn't true.

More media playing a soap opera angle that doesn't exist.

He was let go and now has the stage for all to hear. He said himself that he was making a lot of noise and attention. He should do what ever he feels that needs to be said. Ravens gave him a position to play and it's time for a new player to fill that position. If he came out , then he could get louder and claim he was release because he was gay. That would get him a lawsuit and maybe some money. Won't get him back on the team. If he still has the drive, maybe another team will pick him up.

It is petty he even said it might have led to his release. The team had his back when others were calling him out.

Isn't the Harbaugh clan all hardcore Catholics? Makes you wonder what John thought of BA's gay marriage agenda. The Catholic church at least pretends to be opposed. Even though I'm pretty sure plenty of priests lean that way..
