Glad he's gone, but glad to see him working well at LSU: (Cam)

Quarterback Zach Mettenberger appears to be flourishing under Cameron as is freshman wide receiver Avery Peterson, the younger brother of former LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson.
I think he'll be a good fit as a college OC. In all honesty, this could be the best thing for a guy like Zach Mettenberger, who is more of a traditional drop-back passer. If Mettenberger does really well under Cam it is going to boost his stock up big time because they'll be running an NFL-themed offense.

I agree...i liked the job he did at the dead end job in Indiana and thought he could be very, very good at a college that has real recruits...I would have definitely looked at him if I were an AD.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

If he can get LSU to pick one damn QB for starters.....

    Ditto.

His offense won a ton of games here and it still won the SB abeit some tweeks and changes made by Caldwell.

He still deserves a ring and should get one.

I hate to see someone like that fired but he had to go. That's when we started winning all the way thru the SB.

He also had some good things to say about the team w/o a grudge. He even said it was a brilliant move. Everyone took a hard look at themselves in the mirror.

Then he quoted Ray who said after the loss in NE last year, this is where we're supposed to be.

CAM told his family this is where we're supposed to be. His step dad got him into football when he was a kid and remembered when he was fired as a coach. His dad said it's part of the game and we moved on.

    Good luck at LSU CAM.

Let me know what a great job he's doing after he's coached a real game, not a scrimmage.

Definately the perfect place for him. He's great with young QBs, but just wears out his welcome. Here the players aren't getting "paid" (yes they are) and no player will be there for too long enough for him to wear out.
