Re: Okoye
Didn't the Eagles give a try out to a legitimate rugby player a few years ago?

Re: Okoye
He was very impressive at the Regional Combine
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...gional-combine
At nearly 6-foot-6 and 304 pounds, Okoye ran the 40-yard dash in 4.88 and 4.78 seconds while posting a 10-foot-5 broad jump and a 35-inch vertical jump in a "real, first-class show." Brandt called him the class of the defensive linemen in attendance Sunday.

Re: Okoye
Says who? Had the bengals drafted Burfict in round 4, maybe they get labeled reachers but a 4 is a long shot gamble in the first place. Most of them make the team, but a small percentage become stars.
Anyway I say there is no such thing. Can you give any examples of MAJOR reaches in the 4th round of any draft? How about a consensus of where a guy should be drafted.

Re: Okoye
As I recall, there was a player (Christian Okoye) who played NFL football on the 80' and 90's (Chiefs or Raiders ?). Anyway, are these two related? ... Bc

Re: Okoye
I don't remember that, but I highly doubt it was a legit rugby player. I don't think there was ever a famous international class rugby star who's tried out for an NFL team. I know that Jonah Lomu was offered something from the Cowboys, but he wasn't interested. Would have been interesting to have seen him playing RB in the NFL at 260 lbs, he ran the 100 meters in 10.4 seconds which is freakish at that size. He owned England for years in his prime, I hated it, and nobody could tackle him 1 on 1, its a shame his career was short lived because of health issues.
