Re: Report: Dumervil Agrees to Deal with the Ravens
So I take a nap, wake up, and Dumerville is a Raven. This is excellent news, and completely shores that front 7 up. This does make losing Reed, Pollard, and Ellerbe easier because less pressure will be on them to cover.
I like this move, and probably changes our first round draft pick completely.

Re: Report: Dumervil Agrees to Deal with the Ravens
With this move and the set of DE's Ozzie's recently collected he's building a team strategy that reminds me of the Colts in the mid-2000's. Those defenses always struggled against the run (like ours did last year) but they had Peyton which meant points which in turn meant the other team would go pass happy and Freeney/Mathis could tee-off. Last year the Ravens put up a franchise high in points and I believe the offense will continue to trend upward. You double down and field a defense that knows how to get after the QB (and some pretty good corners too). The league's only become more pass-happy since those mid-2000 Colt's teams (and now there's the crown of the helmet rule) so I like where this is going.

Re: Report: Dumervil Agrees to Deal with the Ravens
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Good thing he will be rotating in with Upshaw, wouldn't you say? Bottom line is Dumervill is considerably better than Kruger and a good bit cheaper. He is an instant upgrade at that position and gives us two elite pass rushers. I don't know how you could not like this move.
