Win a Super Bowl, pick up an Elvis.

Let's hope this Elvis has a few more Top 10 hits than the last one!

Have fun in Baltimore Doom. Don't let the door hit you on !@# on way out. Enjoying passing up super bowl ring opportunity here for completely untalented roster now in Baltimore. Expect for few pieces Flacco, Suggs, Rice, and Ngata that's about it.

Poor babies. Sounds like they're still hurting from this:

I think with the additions of Doom, Canty, and Spears, our defense should be better this year. That's a sick front seven even with the questions at ILB. After the draft and training camp cuts, we should be fielding another contender. Ozzie is the man.

9.5 sacks in 2011 is way lower compared to 2009. Actually looking at his entire career his sack totals from year to year is inconsistent.

So I take a nap, wake up, and Dumerville is a Raven. This is excellent news, and completely shores that front 7 up. This does make losing Reed, Pollard, and Ellerbe easier because less pressure will be on them to cover.

I like this move, and probably changes our first round draft pick completely.

Re: Report: Dumervil Agrees to Deal with the Ravens

With this move and the set of DE's Ozzie's recently collected he's building a team strategy that reminds me of the Colts in the mid-2000's. Those defenses always struggled against the run (like ours did last year) but they had Peyton which meant points which in turn meant the other team would go pass happy and Freeney/Mathis could tee-off. Last year the Ravens put up a franchise high in points and I believe the offense will continue to trend upward. You double down and field a defense that knows how to get after the QB (and some pretty good corners too). The league's only become more pass-happy since those mid-2000 Colt's teams (and now there's the crown of the helmet rule) so I like where this is going.

    Yeah, I know.

Point? He's a DE who rushes the passer.

Which is sort of what you hope for from a pass rush specialist who will spilt time with a run stopper.

Lord, some people would be annoyed if Ozzie signed Megatron and JJ Watt to league minimum deals.

That's kind of like saying Calvin Johnson is inconsistent if he drops to 1500 yards receiving next year, which is to say, absurd.

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
