He was a damn good LT at Alabama two years ago.

Brian Baldinger is connected to Castillo and mentioned in a radio interview with WNST that Juan had mentioned KO as an option at LT if McKinnie was not retained. Here are some links. In the 2nd link go to 8:50 to hear Baldinger discuss it:

Mike Mayock is now saying that 6 OTs could be picked in round 1 with Watson and Pugh getting picked at the botom of the round and Flucker a little higher than that. To me that says two things: 1) we could take one of those guys if we are interested but 2) with 6 OTs being picked other players will drop to us that we are more interested in.

Which means they would do anything they could to keep Oher at RT. If glee don't have a legit LT this year you could see a left side of KO and Jah Reid.

Any thoughts on Armstead with our natural 2nd?

I like him alot, i dont think he gets to 62 but i think he's an option if we trade down from 32. He's gonna have to get stronger in his lower body and i wouldnt feel great about him playing as a rookie but he has all the tools imo.

At one time I liked Brennan Williams a lot, but he's strictly RT. Not sure I want us penciled into that.

LT developmental guys that intrigue me...

    Chris Faulk
    Quessenberry
    Marquardt
    Rogers Gaines
    Aboushi
    Bakhtiari
    Xavier Nixon?

Terron Armstead is the guy I'd like most if we're not talking 1st round, but as said above, he's not likely to fall all the way down to our natural 2nd rounder. Just get a feeling someone else will overvalue him.

Yep in round 2 you'd look at Armstead or Bakhtiari with Bakhtiari being more ready but both would be developmental. And both could be gone by the time we pick. Honestly I would put Watson and Pugh here too but it sounds like they are going possibly in round 1.

Or, if the Ravens decide the BPA in the draft is a guard, they could slide KO out to LT and insert a guard better than Jah Reid into that LT spot. If they had a shot at taking Justin Pugh or Kyle Long, they might go that direction.

    Re: LT Prospects

Dallas Thomas is a mid-round guy I like a lot that hasn't been mentioned in this thread. Nice pass protection pedigree at Tennessee and has the ability to play guard as well (started at LG every game his senior year).

I fear there's not going to be much value at the position in this year's draft, however. There aren't 6 1st-round talent tackles this year, and it's entirely possible 6 get taken. That'll dilute the value of a tackle with later picks, most likely.
