Re: Openning Game 2013 Season in limbo
And really, the least they could do is have this stupid concert and shit before the first home game.
I sure as shit don't plan on driving all the way to the city, on a work/school night and risk missing the game.
But if I were heading up to my seats I'd go..

Re: Openning Game 2013 Season in limbo
Ok guys it's not the O's fault. It's the NFL for not playing on Rosh Hashanah. They've done it before but now for some reason can't. However, it is ok to play on Christmas...

Re: Openning Game 2013 Season in limbo
9/5 means there's 25 days left in the season and that day is 6 days into a 16 game stretch.
Moving that game to make it a double header that weekend actually gives the O's a day off in the middle of that stretch. And if you want to go with the money angle, it also means more butts in the seats, more eyeballs on the TV products, etc.
Yes, players and coaches hate double headers but they also hate long 2+ week stretches without a break.

I don't care if it was Angelos, the White Sox, Selig or whomever.
On September 5, I want to be able to count the fans in attendance at Oriole Park with my fingers.

Week 1 at denver with all summer to prepare and that clear chip on on shoulder not being at home.
Week 2 home to New England, with 10 days break, national tv, our first home game, the fans will really be in it, start the year 2 0 beating our best competitors for the afc crown in the process.

“When I think of a Baltimore Raven - we go in there, we take your lunch box, we take your sandwich, we take your juice box, we take your applesauce, and we take your spork and we break it. And we leave you with an empty lunch. That’s the Baltimore Raven way.” - Steve Smith Sr.
Call me a Special Teams coach again. I dare you! I double dare you, MFer!

Re: Openning Game 2013 Season in limbo
I AM SO PISSED OFF --- I pay thousands of dollars as a Season Ticket Holder and I deserve to see the World Champs play the first NFL game of the year AT HOME !!!
Honestly thinking of boycotting the Orioles
