I think Wilson got $5M over three years, not $5M/year.

To me, it looks like Reed won't be back here in BAL unless he realizes that he isn't going to get some big contract somewhere else.

Don't forget LaRon Landry who got 4 years $24 million with $11 million guaranteed from the Colts. Ed Reed is friends with LaRon Landry. I'm sure that's the deal he thinks he should be getting.

.....but I guess that means Ravens are offering a less appealing deal at this point?!?

Yes I forgot Landry. 28. Got the same $6M/year that Moore (27) did/

Reed wants the $7+M he got last year. Not even young dudes in their prime got that this year.

    lol Reed.

If we don't end up getting Doom, I'd offer him 4.5 a year to finish his career out, and leave it at that. He wont get more than that and will either sign or retire IMO.

I don't even think the Ravens will offer him that much.

Why do you think we're offering less appealing? David Dunn might just be trying like crazy to get Texans to budge or get another team involved...

The longer he sits out there, the more chance I think he's back here. At this point, I'd offer 3 for 12 and let him pick from equal contracts.

Greg Cosell on Ed Reed: 'I think if he gets a better offer, he'll go somewhere else.'

    Aaron Wilson ‏@RavensInsider
Greg Cosell on Ed Reed to me: 'I don't think the Ravens will push hard to get him. I don't know if Ed is into the hometown discount.'
