Re: Ravens may not want Ed Reed back, visiting Texans on Thursday
Aaron Wilson is saying he is hearing Ed wants 6 million a year.
I love Ed but I just don't see that giving his age/health concerns...

Re: Ravens may not want Ed Reed back, visiting Texans on Thursday
Ed can want that...but I wouild be suprprised if he got it.
Of course there's a sucker born every day...
IMO, Ed is worth more to the Ravens than others due to his leadership and knowledge/familiarity of the system/franchise. He's not worth $6M to the ravens. I could see houston, NE or SF renting him for a year at $2-$3.5M.
IMO, If he gets above $3.5M it will still be cap friendly and incentivised based on his health and some perfomance indicators.

Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider
Hearing Ed Reed is looking for at least $6 million per year. Texans could get within that striking range. They are very serious about him

Is it just me, or are other people kinda hoping Ed signs with another team?
I have enjoyed Ed over the years, and have his Jersey... but it seems like its time.

Re: Ravens may not want Ed Reed back, visiting Texans on Thursday
What a player asks for and what he gets are typically two different things, unless your name is Joseph Vincent Flacco. He may want 6/year but id assume he gets less although not a lot less. I think some are underestimating his value. He may not be the same Reed we once knew, but hes still one of if not the best FS in the league. QBs still respect the hell out of him. 5 or 5.5/year isnt out of the realm but itll probably be back loaded regardless. Id be more interested in guaranteed money with his age.
I think hes the one most people were expecting to lose. now that everyone else has left its kind of assumed hell still be gone as well.-JAB

Ed is delusional about his value. That's probably why he kept firing agents. I don't think this should be a surprise to anyone. At this point nothing would surprise me with Ed. I'll say this though, I don't think it makes sense for the Ravens to bring him back at this point.
