I actually think the Jets make sense, but I don't see Leach going there.

Jets salary cap is so jacked up they can't add a waterboy. They're still paying millions for Tebow and Revis

They have a pretty good FB/TE in Clay.

Clay is very tall and has good hands. I think he probably makes a much better TE/H-Back than a fullback. The Dolphins claim they want to build their offense around the running game. If that's true then Leach would be a lot better for them than Charles Clay

I wonder if he is just testing the market and will eventually resign with the Ravens at a reduced rate when he doesn't get the offers he expected.

Dolphins apparently want a deal done soon. If they want him bad enough, they will pay more that the Ravens. Don't expect him back....

I don't think Leach is coming back. The Ravens absorbed a cap hit when they cut Leach. So, if they were to resign him, that dead money would have to be factored into how big of a contract they offered. It was a similar situation with Dumervil and the Broncos.

So this sheds some light on why Ryan Swope dropped to the 6th round in the NFL draft, in spite of his tremendous talent. The concussion issue must have been bigger than many of us realized.
