Andre Smith is a good player, but I'm not sure its a good idea to overspend for a guy who's an elite run blocker but has foundation issues in pass pro that can't really be fixed. Don't get me wrong, if you have the room, spend it, nothing wrong with buying a good player or two, but watch Miami completely regret what they've this year done here down the line. They better have some good drafts over the next few years, and I don't think I have much confidence in Jeff Ireland in that regard.
I'm with you. It took years for Andre Smith to get in shape. It took his contract year to push him to work hard. Will he pull a Gaither once he gets paid? It's possible. There is a reason why no one else has jumped on Smith despite his great season. Teams need to be real careful when it comes to this guy.

It's look like Tampa is losing their interest in Revis because of the Jets.

Get rid of Reed and we can get Revis. If Reed leaves, we'll be taking the biggest off-season hits.

Revis will be tough to trade coming off a knee injury with that contract. Plus he wants another payday

Revis? A 1-year rental at a position we're relatively strong at? Why?

The Jets are in a pickle with Revis. They don't want the embarrassment of trading him for a late round pick, but that's all anyone will give up with his contract. If they don't trade him, they lose him to Free Agency for nothing and even if he returns to form this year, his tag number would be high as hell, due to his salary. If he could even be tagged.

They are really screwed. Nobody wants to give up a high pick and then have to sign him when he thinks he's worth 15 mil a year.
