I think it's the latter - I don't see the Ravens doing much this FA. The D is being rebuilt largely from scratch.

They didn't re-offer the deal to Cary according to him:

Williams: "I didn't get anything from them, and that's what happened. There was no deal on the table. That 15 million was off the table."

    Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter

Former Steelers CB Keenan Lewis reached agreement with Saints on five-year deal with max value of $26.3 million, including $10.5 mil gtd.

Of course it was off the table, maybe he didn't realize that Cory Graham came in and played better than he did, with Webb and potentially Smith finally figure some things out. Cary "double take shit the WR is gone" was the lone man out.

Cary answered a question that was asked.

Why do people feel a need to make him out to be someone who doesn't understand what was going on?
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Another free-agent jolt: Rams free-agent RB Steven Jackson has reached agreement with the Atlanta Falcons.

    Good signing for them.
Good for Stephen Jackson! If anybody deserves to go to a winning team, its him.

How many more of our starter and star players have to retire or leave for other teams before even the most ardent "trust in Ozzie" folks start to think maybe something may not be right?
