And they no longer have Ryan goddamn Lindley under center!
They could make a little noise.
They also gained ground on divisional opponents via Michael Crabtree's injury and now Percy Harvin may need hip surgery.

Man...if Percy Harvin has to have hip surgery like the first recommendation, he likely would be out for the year.

That would be a really tough blow for Seattle.

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Sedrick Ellis retires at 28. Now there was a waste of $30M. That guy was lucky to come into the league before the new CBA.

You'd be foolish to want him on your squad after this. Even if he doesn't get surgery, the fact that one doctor suggested it and he hasn't even begun the season should be a sign to stay away from him

He played out that deal and signed a 1 year $1 million deal with the Bears this offseason. That's what he's walking away from.

I am so happy this did not get its own thread.

Dude got paid. Good for him. Hope it works out for them.

    Right.

But my $30M waste reference was to the money he was paid for being a big bust with the Saints. Guys like he and JaMarcus Russell should be so thankful they weren't born five years later, because they never would have seen the big pile of money they got for being big piles of crap.

Ellis want anywhere near JaMarcus Russell bad. Before he got hurt Ellis was pretty good. Did he live up to that draft pick? No but few top 10 picks ever do.

I always thought Ellis would have been better suited for a wide-9 type of role. He's a finesse guy.

What a shame, I really thought that guy coming out of college was the real deal.
