I think he will be lucky to make the team and be active for half the games.

He's a strong practice squad candidate.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

I don't know about that. From what I recall, he was generating a fair amount of interest from a lot of teams. If he went to the PS, I think he may be poached. I could see them doing what they did with Streeter last year and "IR'ing" him for the year.

I like Thompson as well, and would like to see any of the Ravens young WRs do well. That said, IMO, Ozzie isn't anywhere near as sold on any of the Ravens WRs (other than Torrey Smith) as he is letting on in public. I fully expect that Ozzie will make a trade for a starting WR before the start of the season, with Thompson and Doss fighting it out for the slot WR spot. It is too big of a risk to go into the season with so many unproven WRs expected to get a lot of playing time.

IR is a strong possibility as well.

We all know the team does not like to give up on their draft picks early and they don't like exposing them to waivers.

Yup, that's what happens when injuries cause teams to panic a bit. Some of these vets are just sitting home until a team has a season ending injury that makes them all of the sudden valuable

Charles Woodson goes back to where it all started for him. Signs with the Raiders, over SF and Denver.

He must not care about winning. SF would've been a good fit but maybe they lowballed him

Apparently Denver offered him some decent money.

Why would Charles Woodson care about winning? He's already got 2 SB rings. He's potentially a first ballot HOF'er.

He's getting something close to $2 mill guaranteed. This will be his last year, so why not make that money?

Max Starks signs with the Chargers.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am pretty happy about this because it means that the Steelers are pretty much stuck with who they've got and their OT's are pretty bad.

Was it a big difference in $? All things equal he may regret getting beat every game.
