BPR
Thoughts on that kid from Ellon? Supposedly the Ravens are very interested.

Re: WRs
Hopefully, with both Harper and Mellette, we are evaluating them for slotting, and not for our own purposes.
Drafting Mellette means that we will have yet another receiver on the roster that will routinely struggle to gain separation.
Overall, for WRs, If I/you 1) believe that WR is a need, and 2) believe the industry line that in this draft there are 4-5 top dogs following by a large mass of equal-talented prospects then I/you should also believe that there's a great chance that we are going to draft a WR somewhere from #32 on down to #70-78 (i.e., the middle of the 3rd round), b/c there's equal value. Neither Harper nor Mellette are close to being top 78 players.
Note: I would say that this same "belief" should apply to ILB, which is much more of a need than WR.
Eh...I'm too hard on Harper :hammer:
He could be a nice possession guy, but he won't get away from the taller DBs out there.Last edited by BigPlayReceiver; 04-02-2013 at 09:04 PM.

Re: WRs
What about King from UGA? Don't hear his name very often.

Re: WRs
There is talk of Cordarrelle Patterson sliding down draft boards.
If he is there at 32...can you pass him up?

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
