In Oz we trust. At least I trust him. As much as I would like for Boldin to stay, I feel confident that the Ravens FO has their 2nd, 3rd and 4th options already queued up. Or is that Q'ed up??? So no matter what, I'm not gonna sweat it.

And if this story is indeed true, we don't know what the Ravens offered him. Hard to make a judgement on this without knowing if the Ravens did or did not make a fair offer.

Torrey has his head on straight. In 2 years he has seen the highest high and the lowest low. Though he has never had to suffer through a losing season, but he did see a 3 game losing streak and some locker room tribulations.

Maybe they are banking on Torrey being that veteran WR presence in just his 3rd season.

It's wholesale vs retail. Aka the draft vs free agency. Much better to get wholesale players then pay vets.

I don't think these stories are anything new from yesterday. I think Boldin rejected the Ravens reduced salary offer which led him to almost being released yesterday. The Ravens must be reconsidering another option or they would've cut him by now.

After watching Clayton and Evans drop key playoff passes, I'd rather keep Boldin.

They are the same story.

And it's unnamed sources passing along the info. That makes it rumor until someone from either side confirms it.

Must suck to have to handle business while in Africa. But hey, when you are in Africa during the beginning of the FA/salary cap period, I guess you should have expected it.

Yeah, the new rookie wage scale definately sucks donkeyballs. If teams didn't want to be in the position of paying $12 million a year for unproven rookies maybe they shouldn't have put themselves in the position of draft in the top 5 overall. I thought that the league wanted to discourage sucking for top picks, not encouraging it.

I don't think it's so much the offer, it's the apparent lack of an extension offer which is the curious thing.

Everyone knew that Boldin's salary was too high and before the playoffs, lots of people thought he was at least a candidate to be cut.
