    Meh, yes and no. Given the Yankees business model, the money does definitely keep them there. On the other hand, teams like the Cubs, Mets, and Dodgers pretty much conclusively prove that just having a bunch of money to throw around at players isn't a guarantee of being able to sustain a run of playoff competition like the Yankees have done in the Michaels/Cashman period.
