Knighton seems too much like another Mount Cody to me. He has weight issues and is not great against the run. I would rather grab a guy like Jean-Francois and draft Brandon Williams.

Also add these to your list of possible free agents.

    Larry Grant ILB San Fran
Deandre Levy ILB Detroit (cover linebacker)
Wallace Gilberry DE Cincy (pass rush specialist)

I don't see Menelik Watson going in the first. He played RT at FSU not LT, he will get drafted at some point in the 2nd round and be seen as a project at LT and a potential day 1 starter at RT. My boy from Manchester has a lot of talent, but it would be a reach to take him at 32, let alone 24.

Actually, I think Knighton is outstanding against the run. The knock on him is that he takes plays off. I would hope the Ravens locker room would motivate him more than the Jags have been able to.

I don't know if you ever watched any Jacksonville games closely, but I can assure you that Knighton is a lot better than Cody in all facets of the game. Knighton is also a very good run defender, IDK if you're getting him confused with the other guy they have, Alualu.

we may lose Ellerbe...but there's NO way Ozzie can go into next season with a drafted ILB, a hurting McClain, Bynes, McClellan, and BA as his ILBs. NO...WAY...

If you lose Ellerbe, who's the next best ILB available? Maulaga? Maybe...But we have to get SOMEONE decent enough, just to make sure we have an insurance policy for McClain.

Call me a Special Teams coach again. I dare you! I double dare you, MFer!

Mauluga is awful and a perfect example of a college prospect that was and still is to some extent totally overrated. He is one of the worst LBs in coverage, and by the sounds of it, isn't a great guy off the field either.

There are better options out there like Brad Jones from GB, Nick Barnett who just got cut, and Daryl Smith who has been one of the most underrated players in the league for years playing for garbage teams in Jacksonville. I'm not even joking, I think I'd rather have Bart Scott back over Rey Mauluga.

I think that Ozzie has to draft an ILB even if the Ravens resign Ellerbe. The Ravens may reach an injury settlement with McClain and BA will either retire or get cut, so that just leaves Ellerbe and Josh Bynes as ILBs on the roster. I really like ILB Kevin Minter from LSU, but I guess the Ravens aren't high on him since they chose to not meet with him at the Combine. Either that, or they are just being coy about their interest.

Yeah I don't watch many Jags games, but I just read up more on Knighton and at the least the general consensus seems to be that he is extremely inconsistent. He lost playing time due to that last year.

I'm not sure Glenn Dorsey is a good fit in a 3-4. I think he'd be a great addition for the Giants or a team like that.

Ricky Jean-Francois is definitely someone I'd be interested in. Good 5-technique player and even though he's not 350 lbs (295-300), he plays with good leverage and technique. Definitely the type of player that the Ravens need.

I also like Larry Grant. At worst, he's excellent depth.

Jake Long wants $11 million a season. Andre Smith wants $9 million a season. For anyone who thinks that either ends up a Raven you better think again.

Ricky-Jean Francois is one of my favorite LSU players. I really hoped the Ravens drafted him. Now we get a second chance. Unfortunately so does every other team. I keep hearing the Packers name mentioned with his. This guy is not flying under the radar. He's going to get some good money.

The ravens did meet with Minter at the combine.

Just a potential name I'm throwing out there. I agree, he's more of a 4-3 DT.
