Good news for us, really. This just helps the Ravens get better draft value.

Like I said earlier, we draft plenty of 6'0" and under safeties (Reed, Zibikowsi, Christian Thompson, Nakamura,... etc).

Some teams swear by 6'2" or even 6'3" back there, so shorter safeties tend to fall as "value picks" simply due to this preference on the part of certain teams, who will simply take taller guys just to have taller guys.

Hence, all the success the Ravens have, by not being boxed in to such a ridiculous requirement.

I'll take a 5'10" or 5'11" safety all day if they can play center field.

So guys/gals, how many DBs do you think Detroit needs in that secondary huh? Five? lol

If Rhodes, Banks, and/or Milliner put up great numbers I think they'll be Detroit's choice.

Well, Amerson just answered questions surrounding his explosiveness and speed. Wow. 6'1" 205lbs and put up a 4.38.

A 4.48 is also a good showing for Sanders Commings, who is 6' 216lbs.

4.43 for Tyrann Mathieu. That's a solid number for him.

4.46 Unofficial for Elam, which will likely put him close to a 4.5 official.

Solid # for him but at 5'9'' and lacking great centerfield range i think the Ravens would pass at 32

Banks had a really bad time...there were big concerns about his speed and he basically ran a 4.6. He's going to slide to the second round.

I think so too, not that i'd give up on him at corner, he obviously has recovery speed if he shows he has enough lateral quickness to get the job done and he can press he can be a good corner

I agree...my concern for Amerson was never straight line speed, it's his hips.

I haven't read problems with instincts...the worst I've read is about his height...he is going to lose some jump balls.
