The Chicago Bears
SMOKED the Seahawks.
Are these guys the best team in the NFL?
They have a great defense sure...but that offense is hot too.
What the Ravens wish they were?
disuss amongst yourselves...

Re: The Chicago Bears
I like the vertical attacking passing game. But that only works with the great pass protection Grossman was getting lastnight. If they can keep all those phases of the game going like that. Then I'd sure put the Bears at the top of the NFL heap right now.
Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.

Re: The Chicago Bears
They look damn good. Best in the NFC without question, and maybe best in the league. Plus have you seen how soft their upcoming schedule is? Their next 4 games are against Buffalo, Arizona, San Francisco and Miami. Not to mention they play in the atrocious NFC North.

Re: The Chicago Bears
We're eating a big pile of crow that, as of right now, we've got the worst of the 3 1st round QBs.
I always thought Grossman was the real deal...what's happening now is Berrian is a burner and Muhammad can still play and Rex gets time to throw and he's got a great arm and touch.
They look great...admittedly...have they played a good defense yet? The Seahawks are known as an offensive team and were missing their biggest weapon.
Either way right now, elite team in the NFC. AFC could be a few teams with the two front-runners appearing to be Baltimore and Indy.

Re: The Chicago Bears
in their defense, Grossman was in the....well, Spurrier's fun n gun.
No other QB of note in the NFL came out of the program and many of the WRs never lived up to their billing either (TT...)

Re: The Chicago Bears
In looking at the Bears schedule, it is very conceivable they could go 16-0. This is their remaining schedule:
Oct 8 Buffalo
Oct 16 @Arizona
Week 7 BYE
Oct 29 San Francisco
Nov 5 Miami
Nov 12 @N.Y. Giants
Nov 19 @N.Y. Jets
Nov 26 @New England
Dec 3 Minnesota
Dec 11 @St. Louis
Dec 17 Tampa Bay
Dec 24 @Detroit
Dec 31 Green Bay

Re: The Chicago Bears
that does look sickeningly easy...but I think the Jets, Buffalo, and NE will be the biggest tests they have left.
It's also early, really early. All it will take is one team to figure out how to cope with the passing game and the bears are in trouble again.
