I have Katie's California Gurls in my iPod and a couple of others. She is one hot chick.

I have all Buffett's tunes and sing Margaritaville on Fri nights.

I also have and sing Crazy Bitch and thus this pic next to my name. Drives them nuts
when I sing it, same when I sing Figure You Out by Nickelback. Got that in my iPod too
Girls go nut way I sing "I like your pants around your feet when you're looking up at
me." "You're like my favorite damn disease."

OK NC - this is just for you. I got a good pic of her ass at home but Im in the gym right now
and can't call it up on this PC if you get the drift. I'll look for it later.

So seriously... I was joking about the Yelawolf shit... Well, I mean I like the video, but I don't really listen to it.

Music doesn't really have anything to do with football for me, but here is some stuff I like at the moment. (BTW, who the fuck is Katie Perry?)

off the top of my head of todays playlist at work:
    Kaki King
    Vintage Trouble
    Biffy Clyro
    The Shins
    Retribution Gospel Choir
    At The Drive In
    The Sword
    Thin Lizzy
    Zeppelin
    Black Sabbath

All you guitarists should check out Kaki King... (and Retribution Gospel Choir for that matter)..

Anyone into the Blues and I don't meant the Blues Brothers crap.

    I mean serious stuff like:

    BB KING

    BILLIE HOLIDAY

Great stuff. Got em all in my iPOd.

Even the Stones were influenced by the blues and it's in their earliest albums and they
became the bad boys band introducing blues-rock and hard-rock that led to heavy
metal and changed the name from rock n roll to just Rock.

C'mon man... The Blues Brothers "Band" were some of the best session players in the industry at the time. A lot of them were members of the SNL band. Steve Jordan, who played drums (didn't appear in the movie) is a fucking legend. Wiki him and you'll find that he's played on some of the best stuff out there... including BB king, Aretha, Keith Richards, Clapton, Dylan, Cat Stevens and the list goes on and on.

But I love some blues. I love Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, and I really like Robert Cray's playing and songs... Unfortunately I hate the 80's production of a lot of it. I dig some Steve Earle too. And LOVE Hank Williams Sr.

I also like classic Canadian Folk music.... like Gordon Lightfoot and Stan Rogers.

Some other modern stuff I love is Zwan (Billy Corgin's superstar band that never lasted) and anything Jack White is a part of.

And not to spilt the hairs of what Rock came from.... Biffy Clyro and Mumford & Sons sound to me like their roots have much more to do with Scottish Folk Music. But I'll say this sounds more like pop/rock than any old blues songs... There was a time when christian music was good.

I've been listening to some of that Mississippi Delta Blues.

And, even though it was from a movie, I loved the song that Samuel L. Jackson plays at that bar in "Black Snake Moan".

Houston- Don't forget Mad Season, as I mentioned previously. They're coming out with unreleased material prior to Layne's passing.

    Wicked-

    Yep, check this out:

The song "Locomotive" has been posted on youtube, with Mark Lanegan ( from Screaming Trees ) at vocals, and I must say I think he does a very good job. When listening to the song, I can imagine Layne's voice singing the lyrics as it was originally written by him and McCready, and Barrett Martin.

FYI- If you're a Layne fan, you may enjoy this take. This was a band he was involved with called "Second Coming." I'm not aware of any other songs he sang for them however.

I love Screaming Trees and Barrett Martin is a great drummer. I know you guys are talking about Layne Staley, but I actually prefer Lanegan's singing. Thanks for Posting!

A$AP's new album is really good. Long Live and I Come Apart ft. Florence are both really good tracks.

If your into some of the indie music, I recommend Imagine Dragons and obviously the Black Keys.

Mark is a great singer as well. You can definitely distinguish Mark and Layne's voices from the crowd.
