Got to give it to the 49ers OC...when we play man, they exploit Ray. When we play zone, they know Pollard always gets sucked up and just throw it over his head.
He got conned by the niners at least 3 times just on that last drive alone.Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
