Question Which of the 49ers' 2012 Opponents--

    --do the Ravens most resemble?

IMO you could make a case that it's the Giants--who went into Candlestick in Week 6 & handed them their collective arse, 26-3. Or the Vikings--who beat them 24-13 in Minnesota in Week 3. In their defense, Alex Smith was still the SF QB.

Meanwhile of all the Ravens' opponents this year, the Niners most resemble the Skins--to whom they lost in O/t 31-28 in their house, featuring the last hoorah of Cam-allot with key defenders injured & not playing.

What do y'all think? The polls are open until 5 PM Groundhog Day

I know it's "most like" but I don't see any that are close enough to vote...

I put the Bears down. Offense has similar mirrored players, apart from the Bears don't really have an out and out deep threat like a Torrey Smith. Two decent RB's, we have a much better Oline tbf, and a better QB, but they are similar type of players. Our defense is obviously a totally different scheme to the Bears, but we have a similar solid veteran defense that used to be out of this world good.

I was thinking of putting Seattle or the Giants down, but both of them are totally functionally different to us scheme wise, on both sides of the ball. Vikings is a good one, but our defense and QB are way better IMO.

    Good thread btw.

Well, that's a vote too. I would've included "None" as an option but polls are limited to 10 selections & I had enough trouble with the shoehorn as it stood.

Atlanta and the Patriots are possibilities, but they are both very much finesse teams, which you really cannot say about us.

Btw just adding, I know these teams aren't listed here, but if you had to choose a team that mirrors us (discounting Pittsburgh, as they are probably the closet team to us in style and similarities) its probably the Colts and SD when taking offensive/defensive systems and everything into account. There really isn't any NFC team apart from maybe the Cards or the Bucs that are similar to us.
