I thought she sucked! I wish people singing the anthem would just DO THAT! No adding to the song with repeated lyrics , banging out octave jumps all over the place and such. It's our National Anthem, not your opportunity to rewrite a song.

Leann Rimes, IMHO, gave the best performance ever of the anthem. She jumped some octaves as well, but I'd prefer her rendition over any that I've ever heard!

lol, you sound like a hater! what was so extra about her rendition? Going out on a limb here but my guess is that you probably don't like any rendition that sounds like it has soul in it! but this is america where you are free to this opinion.

Hate it when singers try to "make it their own". There's only one way to sing the National Anthem.
