Over the last week, some of you may have heard of Vine, a Twitter-owned service that allows iOS users to post 6-second videos on their servers.

It came out Thursday. Within 24 hours, PXi Ventures, out of London, developed Vinepeek, which allows users to read feeds of recently uploaded Vines. In effect, Vinepeek allows you to see the world filming itself, six seconds at a time. Mesmerizing stuff.

Starting Sunday, a group of developers working out of Fed Hill sought to develop something to catch the attention of the SF tech community. The idea was to develop something similar to Vinepeek, but targeted towards 49er and Ravens fans. Fans of each team could upload their six second fan videos, tag them with hash tags, and other fans could watch them.

The result of this is VineBowl. Please, take a look. It's still a bit rough, but it's built on technology that was released only a week ago, and the API is still not formally documented, so it's still very much a work in progress.

We do, however, hope to have the thing out of beta before the weekend. We're now looking for testers and content. If you have an iOS device, download the Vine app, take some video of Ravens-related stuff, and post it. If you don't, have a look and see if you can come up with improvements.

Have fun, and thanks,

BS
