Flacco's stats playing in a true dome stadium

I was bored this morning and decided to look up Flacco's numbers for games played in true dome stadiums. I define true dome stadiums as stadiums not having a retractable roof.

Flacco has played 3 games in domes:

2009 against Minnesota 27/48 56.3% 389 yards 2 TDS 0 INT 103.6 qb rating
2010 against Atlanta 22/34 64.7% 215 yards 3 TDS 1 INT 99.5 qb rating
2011 against St Louis 28/43 65.1% 385 yards 3 TDS 0 INT 109.2 qb rating

Total for all 3 games

77/125 61.6% 329.6 yards/game 8 TDs 1 INT 104.1 qb rating

Nice. It'd be nice to see him play in a dome more often where he could pad his stats with that cannon arm.

I did notice what must be a typo. Flacco threw 3 TDs vs the Rams. I remember because they were all to Torrey Smith.

He only threw two TDs in the Minnesota game. So the TD numbers still add up.

This is why I respect dome QBs less. Perfect weather, perfect conditions, no wind.

Makes Rodgers, Flacco, etc. all the more impressive IMO.

Stafford, Brees and Ryan are all fine QBs, but I have no doubt their numbers are slightly higher due to the environment in which they play.

I was reading an article about how the Ravens were scouting Flacco before the draft. One of the reasons they were really high on Flacco is because they thought he'd be able to play well in less than ideal conditions.

Those were all dome stats with Cam Cameron. Imagine what a game he might have with Jim Caldwell calling plays.

Playing in a dome is performance enhancing. Domes should be banned.;)
