That is hilarious. No wonder L.A. still has no NFL team. WTG Baltimore.

You call that passion/support? Win or lose this Monday; as sad as I'll be, I'll be just as proud of the boys. :D

If not in the stadium, certainly in the town. The New Orleans fan base doesn't like San Francisco much at all.

Well, it looks like the 49ers went directly from their facility to the airport. I'd imagine if Ravens did the same, crowd would be a bit smaller, since it's hard for our facility to handle people parking nearby...

That said, seriously the city of San Fran didn't try to get a rally together or anything? That's pretty dumb. I think it's funnier (posted in another thread) that the 9ers fans are actually LOL'ing at us, saying that the city was going nuts like we'd already won the game, and also making fun of the players dressing in suits.

I do recall, I was in San Fran for a conference in August, in the middle of Preseason. I saw nary a SINGLE 49ers thing in that city for the 4 days I was there. Whereas downtown, I'd expect to see a Ravens logo probably every block or so.

Funny how when the 9ers are good again, all these fans come out of the woodwork.

It happens in every city. I ran into people at Dick's buying up Ravens gear who flat out ADMITTED they never watched the games, just "checked the scores" on Monday to be able to talk about it with others...

Baltimore just has a stronger base of fans who pay attention the whole year round. San Francisco has the "luxury" of being right next to Oakland, so you get double the MLB and NFL teams. Plus, no offense to Baltimore, but there's a bit more going on there culturally.

San Fran was a great city to visit and be a tourist in. But I'm happier to live in Baltimore.

It feels great to be someone who sweats every down through every season, for years, through the great wins, the losses, and the crushing disappointments. And then, to experience a magical season and be on the threshold of a championship. Casual fans just can't feel what we are feeling right now. They are not invested enough.

I agree. It just feels amazing to finally go to the dance again after going though all the ups and downs.
