Ravens 35 Niners 14. I'm going to go random on the MVP because I think Colon will act like a rookie and have multiple turnovers. Ed Reed with 2 pickles, 1 for a TD.

    Indeed!

A part of me, really thinks the game might not be very close though. I am being conservative on the score, but if SF turns the ball over, it could get away from them quickly. This is all just predicated on what I saw out of these two teams in the playoffs, and SF's inability to stop the pass.

Also, the schedule difference really gives me pause - SF playing the #24 schedule, us the #5. I looked back on the SF games and writeups, and boy they really feasted on some weak teams. IMO they had only one or two wins that I'd call "impressive", and some losses that were a tad disturbing.

Now the Ravens had some disturbing losses as well, but those came during a period of major injury issues. I think that a lot of people(mostly outside of Baltimore) are forgetting that before Ray and Webbie went out, that the Ravens were 5-1(and should have been 6-0 if not for the replacement refs) and largely considered the best team in football. They really have been a different team with/without Ray, not to mention Yanda, Suggs, Ngata, etc all having injury issues throughout the year. This team really didn't get healthy until the playoffs, and after watching all three games again yesterday, and being able to just watch them without the nerves and jitters, I got to appreciate the team for what it is - which is really just a damn good football team, and they were the best team in the AFC this year, that much was very clear in these playoffs.

    Ravens 31
    49ers 24

MVP: Joe Flacco 3 TDs, 0 INT

This magic season is going to have a magical end to it. Joe Flacco continues on his hot streak, carves up the 49ers secondary. San Fran has a slow start, makes it a game late, but then Joe Flacco throws a touchdown to all but seal the deal. Kaepernick never gets a big enough lane to make a big play with his legs. Ray Lewis retires on top.

1st and goal... less than a minute to go... Flacco takes the snap.. fakes the hand off... rolls to his right.. FIRES! Endzone! Pitta catches it! Has he got his feet down.... YES! They've signalled it! TOUCHDOWN Ravens!

Baltimore 30, San Francisco 27. All the talk about hard hitting and defense and it ends up high scoring.

    Ravens win, 41-27

Flacco 24-35, 3 TDs, 312 yards -- MVP Award. Goes to David Letterman Monday the 4th; he the wife and young Steven go to Disney World next week. Have a great time. LOL.

Kaepernick, 13-31, 1 TD, 1 rushing TD, 2 ints, rushes for 48 yards, injured late in 3rd quarter on a devastating hit by Pollard.

    Alex Smith 3-13, 24 yards, 1 int.

I think we can throw schedules and strength of schedules out the window.

Both teams got blown out in December yet made it to the Super Bowl.

    Anything goes..

    My prediction?

Something similar to the game in Baltimore last Thanksgiving.. More FG's than either team wants to see.. but we'll have more of a passing game and that will be the difference.

    Ravens 19
    49ers 13

Ray records 15 tackles and gets his second SB MVP..

    R-2003--
    That works for me.

Frankly, I don't care WHAT the final score is, as long as the Ravens have 1 more point than the Niners. And I'll be thrilled to shed a tear or two as Lewis drops to the turf post-game and honors his beliefs...

I could see it 6-9 or 24-27. Either way the good guys win.
