    Question Ray Lewis sendup/smackdown on SNL?

    In the fake newscast segment. I caught the last minute or so by accident last night--did not seem especially funny or friendly. Anyone see the whole shtick?

    yeah, i thought it was fine. What is the saying, mockery is the sincerest form of flattery?

    At least they didn't make fun of the no weapon stuff. It was honestly kind've weak, all they have to go on is Ray Lewis constantly being emotional and praising god, and the "only god can tell me what to do" angle. The paint black part was funny.

    Yea it was actually pretty funny. They didn't run with the whole "Murderer" thing. Basically his "Zeal"

    Just watched it on R-57's link. I thought it was pretty funny, but to be honest, they were working awfully hard to try and get laughs. I suspect that the skit was a lot funnier to Ravens fans than to the general audience.

    I do, however, plan on watching Ray's ethereal post-game ascension! ;)

    The post game ascension part was the funniest.

    @ravenscott57: Thx 4 linky.

    You're right, wasn't as bad as I feared. At least they stayed away from weapons--figurative or bladed. (Though when he said that nothing was gonna stand in Ray Lewis' way, did I hear him say "no retinue"? That might be construed as cutting it a little close...)

    Agreed. Someone tell Suggs to make sure he takes the Lombardi trophy from Ray before Rays ascension.

    That word was 'retina', referring to the accident he mentioned earlier. "Cracked ribs, detached retina..."
