    Super Bowl week team preparation

I just read that the Ravens had a practice today and completed "their last practice of the season." Is there really no practice Super Bowl week? If not, what do the teams do to prepare and not get caught up in distractions?

They get to enjoy what they have worked all season for. I think it's cool.

Of course they will practice this week in some capacity. I think they will be more like walk-through type practices, like implementing the game plan for next Sunday with Dixon running the scout team disguised as Kaepernick.

It was their last practice of the season in Baltimore. They have tomorrow off and then they head for New Orleans on Monday.

I believe the "home" team uses the local teams facility so the 49ers will be using the Saints facility.
We're at Tulane but their football stadium is under construction so we'll be at the baseball stadium.
    Turchin Stadium.
As I understand it they couldn't fit a whole field on it?

“It’s certainly a curveball but the (governing bodies of the NFL) have known for a year now that this was a possibility and our backup plan is that if the Westfeldt Facility was offline that we would go to the baseball stadium since we have turf out there too (on the baseball field),” Tulane associate athletic director for internal operations Vince Granito said.

“We’ve worked here internally as an athletic department with the NFL to ready the baseball field for that,” Granito said. “So essentially, other than grooming that the NFL was going to do anyway – they are grooming the baseball field instead of Westfeldt. And obviously the only difference is trying to lay a football field on baseball field.”

It’s a bit of a strange configuration for sure. It’s not a full 100-yard design – a 30-yard marker sits just a few feet away from second base in the outfield and the field is about 80 yards long plus end zones.

Think Jim would do that to his own brother?
