I'm really looking forward to seeing our guys in the Pro Bowl
Oh, what's that?
Oh.....yeah, forgot about that!
Darn.
Oh well, at least we'll get to see Brady kicking it up in the Pro Bowl then!

Instead of the Pro Bowl, we'll be playing in the Bro Bowl.

Re: I'm really looking forward to seeing our guys in the Pro Bowl
Does anybody - anybody at all - understand changing the timing of the Pro Bowl so that it is now impossible for so many of the best players in the league, i.e. those on the two Super Bowl teams, to play in it? Those players lose out on their free trip to Hawaii, and I'm not sure if the bonuses paid to the winners and losers are still paid to those who can't go (any info on that?). Out of all the stupid decisions, this takes the cake for me. And then a lot of players who would never have made the pro bowl get to go and call themselves pro-bowlers. I know the actual game is pretty inconsequential, but the players regard it as an honor to be voted to the pro-bowl, so I find the timing punitive for the Super Bowl players.
That being said, as it stands now, I'm really, REALLY glad that our guys will not be playing next Sunday!

Well it's like Suggs said - tell the Patriots to enjoy the pro bowl.

pretty sure the players still get their bonuses if its in their contract just for being voted to the pro bowl. they dont actually have to play in it

They still get their bonuses, 40k or 25k depending on who wins. I think those are the figures
If a player has pro bowl money in his contract he'll still get it.
Though Andrew Brandt on ESPN was saying if your agent was negotiating money for you which is dependent on a popularity contest is he realy much of an agent?
A thread for the off season I guess

Ravor--
Not to worry. Hoge was just on Sportscenter, and said something to the tune of, "Let's face it, the top 5 QBs are not playing in the Super Bowl."
FWIW, watching the Pro Bowl is almost up there on a par with kissing your sister (not YOUR sister, MY sister....and I don't HAVE a sister!!! ;)) If I'm gonna kiss someone's sister, I'd rather her brother be the Super Bowl.
Kinda brings a warm, mushy feeling to MY heart....:o
