    Worse than the two early runs was the fact we threw to Rice by design not as a check down. Didn't even look downfield before the throw. Rice will be swarmed all day, and it is obvious.

    They are just going to nickel and dime their way down the field.

    I hope the defense is ready...they are going to be on the field for a LOT of plays.
    Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
