Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread
Why / how would Notre Dame investigate the money trail? They're powerful, but they can't access bank records or track money.
Look, the totality of this is very daming. At a minimum, he has some 'splainin to do.
He talked about Stanford yet nobody else has ever met her.
She was in a car accident yet never went to see her in the hospital.
She was killed by a horrible disease yet he didn't go to her funeral.
He talked about a closed casket yet how would he know?
Either he's incredibly stupid or he's in on it.

Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread
Not what I meant. They had forensic computer specialist track everything. I would think that would uncover if he was in on it. Of course with all other evidence of phone records and having found the person/people who were behind it. So ND has to be smart enough to know that someone is going to want to know where the money went and if they found out Te'o was in on it, ND would have egg on their face.

They didn't come fwd with it in Dec b/c...
cliche alert
... They didn't want to deal with the distraction with a possible national title on the line."The Ravens are not taking Jimmy Smith at 26!" -- Me, the day before the 2011 Draft
"On their way to the podium, the Ravens FO is going to collectively step over my dead body and select...Breshad Perriman." -- Me, the day before the 2015 Draft

Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread
He had a high school acquaintance who told him about a girl that he knew who he thought Teo would be interested in. He introduced them. Since there aren't very many Samoans or Mormons in South Bend, I can see why he would have an instant attachment to her.
The only part I don't like is how he refered to her as his "girlfriend". I think you have to meet someone more than 2-3 times to call them girlfriend, but I guess maybe that's not all that abnormal in the online realm. Who knows?

Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread
Could you provide the link to where he said he had met her personally. If you listen to the entire interview with ESPN (I think it was Gene Wojo who interviewed him), he never once mentions any actual in person interaction with her. All of his comments about her are personality-related.

Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread
Funny how you can guarantee something when you are not privy to any discussion in any NFL war room. If Teo drops out of the top 15, it won't be far, and it will be because of his poor game against Alabama. If anything, being the victim of this hoax shows that maybe he thinks too much with his heart, which is hardly a rare "flaw" among 21 year olds.

Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread
This is really the only opinion that any rational, level-headed person can have right now. Perhaps more info will come out that puts Teo at fault, but until it does, shame on all of you people thinking he's guilty before innocent, even though all the evidence that exists right now points to him being naive, but not guilty of anything more than that.

Re: New draft/FA/offseason thread
Well, this post is showing your immaturity. Teo is a Mormon, so I doubt he was looking to get laid outside the bounds of marriage (yes, there are plenty of young men who still hold that principle dear to them). It's a shame you look at it from that perspective to begin with.
Secondly, how many Mormon's do you think are located in northern Indiana? This girl shared his Samoan heritage too, so that's another valid reason.
