    Fun stuff from Peter King

In his always long-winded SI.com piece on the NFL, Peter King included these two tidbits...

    Stat of the Week I
When the Patriots and Ravens met in 2010, Flacco and Brady each completed 27 passes.
When the Patriots and Ravens met in the conference title game last season, Flacco and Brady each completed 22 passes.
When the Patriots and Ravens met in September of this season, Flacco and Brady each completed 28 passes.

    Stat of the Week II
On Saturday, one of the craziest days of football we've ever seen, consider that Baltimore-Denver and Green Bay-San Francisco each saw this scoring progression:
    7-0... 7-7... 14-7...14-14....21-14....21-21.
And in the case of the game in Denver it was:

    7-0... 7-7... 14-7... 14-14... 21-14... 21-21... 28-21... 28-28...35-28... 35-35... 38-35

Which is why it was one of the all-time great games.

    shas--
    Hhhhmmmmm....

I feel like you may be one of the guys who star (starred?) in that TV series "Numbers", or whatever it is (or was?) called! :)

Did King also notice the "24 cans in a case of beer--24 hours in a day" phenomenon? I think that may be the lost physics principle that Newton pursued! ;)

[In seriousness, that IS some pretty coincidental stuff.]

And in other useless coincidental news, the number "7" matches the total number of days in the week!

sounds like the guy on 105.7 a few nights ago with Glen Younis: "It was destiny- Saturday was my birthday- the 12th. That's why Jacoby Jones caught that ball..." (#12).

    uh-huh... that's why.

RT @MarkViviano: Ray Lewis has played in every playoff game in Ravens history. Sunday will be his 20th. Only 1 active player has played more: Tom Brady (22).
