Think of him as Kevin Byrne's DeCosta...he's basically the right hand man of Kevin Byrnes in the PR department. He was the one who took the pic of Ray and Manning in the locker room at the end.

Steele is also the guy that took and sent the Ray/Manning locker room photo to media outlets.

He seems like a baby-sitter at times.. Even followed Ray over to the NFL Network booth after the Cleveland game and basically stalked the booth until the interview was over and then escorted Ray back to the locker room. Not sure that's a PR guys job but whatever.

He used to be a Baltimore city cop.
He's the guy who accidentally shot himself in the hip while attending a MD basketball game with Steve Bisciotti.

No, article says cop's name is Sanders.

Yeah, Darren Sanders is the Ravens Director of Security.

I know we are talking about two different guy in this thread, Chad Steele and Darren Saunders.

If you read Southside's and Justlovemybird's posts in this thread you'll notice we're talking about head of security Darren Sanders, not Steele.

He could be all over ray (if he is PR) to prep him of certain questions and answers he may get during interviews

Yes, as others have mentioned, Chad Steele.

Complete and utter attention whore and Uber Douche. And yes, he purposely shadows Ray at the end of games/interviews, only to be in the background.

    This is a joke right?

He's the media relations director. It's his job to show players around to the various media outlets. He HAS to be in the background. It's his job to be in the background.

No, not a joke. Of what part I said came across as comical? I understand what a PR Director does and what their duties are. Just happening to be background, having full knowledge of when cameras will be on the team's marquee player on the sideline, in the interview or as he runs off the field is what I am referring to.

If what you said, 'It's their job to be in the background', then why not be around the other players as well, as opposed to the aforementioned scenario?
