Helluva game. Defense is so tired.

    I don't think that was a drop.

Adams hand hit the ball literally about an inch before the deflection bounced on Pitta's hands.

Jones however really screwed the pooch on this drive and I'm sure we will be hearing about this all offseason.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Torrey was killing in the 1dt half and never targeted deep in the 2nd QTR. Those runs made no sense at all given the circumstances and the early success attacking Bailey, etc.

~It'll focus on STs, but every phase fell just short. Symptomatic of the season, really.

It really was a great defensive play. Pitta had his hands on it...just not enough to make the play.

Jones just flat out dropped it.

Think Pitta should have had that tbh.

Well, if we'd shown up on special teams, or the O had been more consistent, we'd have taken this game. C'est la vie.
Thanks for all the memories Ray and Ed. Love you guys
