A great drive by the offense, with Flacco really taking charge. That first play where he wards off the pressure and hits Boldin to move the chains was outstanding.

    What a game!

This is, unfortunately, just a drive-by post. I had to loan my laptop out, and we have company over, so I'm not able to follow and post on the game thread.

    Go Ravens!
To me, that's more exciting than a turnover. All we need is the D to stepup. RAY GET THEM IN LINE!

Checking out Caldwell after the TD. If the football thing doesn't work out, he's got a future in poker.

O needs to try and keep on the field longer in the second half, D will be gassed at this rate.

Agreed. Ngata and the rest of that interior D-line needs to step it up, too. The best way to discomfort Manning is pressure in his face. He's not a particularly mobile QB, and he doesn't like to run out of the pocket. He either throws it away or drops down and takes the sack, normally. If they can start pushing the pocket back in his face, it's going to be harder for him to make accurate throws, especially downfield. The cold has already caused a few inaccurate passes when he's felt pressure: we need more of that.

The Ravens also need to get some positive yards with the run game.

That was the key play of the drive. A sack there, and I say even money we run it on 2nd and long and pack it in for the second half (our standard mentality).

If they give Bailey safety help or switch him to Boldin...maybe that'll open up some real estate for the TEs. Anybody hear how these CBS hacks are trying to figure out how Denver can adjust with no mention of the Ravens? Man, I hope we win and shut these guys up!

Flacco outplaying Manning so far. If we get a couple of stops on D we win this thing by two scores.

Cohwer said something true just now, the Ravens have got to love where they are now (he meant it as a compliment). They took Denver's best shot and are still standing. They have to continue aggressive on offense, but also run Pierce, the running laneswill be there in the second half. if this thing is still tight by the 4th then anything can happen.

Keep in mind too that right now the run game is not producing. The offense is doing all this through the air.

They both look pretty good, but Manning is facing an easier defense and doesn't have to deal with the crowd. But you are right about the need for stops, I don't want to try to trade multiple TDs this half.
