Re: Game Thread: Divisional Weekend: vs Denver

It did to me as well, the two linesman were running in with different spots, but I don't know how you could just call that a first down with no measurement.

And if they let the 2 minute warning stand, Harbaugh cannot challenge the spot.

    Edit. Dierdorf corrected me.

Certainly have been suspect calls/no-calls since the Ravens 14-7 lead...

Dean Peas Easter Island D is costing Ray his last and Ed his first SB, Hardbaugh is watching just like he was watching Pops cost us the Pit game.
    Thank you Dean Pees.

They go for fourth down on our side of the field, we wimp out and punt, which turns into TD.

In prior games vs. Peyton, defense would hold his score down.

That pass hits Boldin in the thigh, maybe the waist. Thrown deeper and he beats that diving DB.

Re: Game Thread: Divisional Weekend: vs Denver

My worse fears in this game are being realized...we are not trying to control the clock or anything.

Just going for the typical deep knock out blows...we just aren't consistent enough to connect on these constant deep balls to throw them anywhere near as often as we do.

For a variety of reasons...guys not getting open, guys dropping the ball, Joe not delivering it correctly...etc.

For us to have gotten the ball first and likely to lose the TOP battle this half by 7 or 8 minutes is a joke.

    This gameplan stinks IMHO.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

They just seem to be too much for the Ravens to handle... it looked like we had a shot in the first, but the Broncos came back strong. I don't even think we're playing that badly, they're just really good.

No Ray Lewis' lack of coverage skills is going to cost Harbaugh his first super bowl.
