    Neither team can run the ball so far... it would really help us out (and take some pressure off Joe) if we could get Rice and/or Pierce going.

    I was hoping the glove would cause some problems for Peyton, and it looked like it did on the first drive, but man, he's just killed it.

    And this offense is what I like...they aren't chucking deep passes every 3 plays, they are just marching down the field and eating up TOP.

    I thought we'd need to score 30+ in this game and and we'd need to control the clock a little to keep Peyton off the field.

    Bombs just aren't high percentage enough to go to it so often.
    Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
