OT: NFL will reconsider "Tuck Rule"
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...his-offseason/
“It was ruled on the field a fumble and the key here is the tuck rule,” Blandino said. “The rule is, if the quarterback brings his arm up to throw in an obvious passing motion, any intentional forward movement of the hand with control of the football will constitute a forward pass. That’s the rule.”

Hate this rule, it just goes against logic. Please make the change!

Re: OT: NFL will reconsider "Tuck Rule"
It is a very dumb rule that should no longer be in the game.

Re: OT: NFL will reconsider "Tuck Rule"
Better late than never I suppose, but Kruger's fumble recovery was miscalled regardless. Dalton's hand was coming back up when he was stripped.
I half-understand the point of the rule. It's to take away the guesswork from the official: is he tucking the ball (fumble) or making a forward pass (incomplete)? Yes, the ball is moving down, not forward, but that's not necessarily going to be clear at full speed from every angle. But I don't think the call is that hard to make even at full speed, so I don't agree with the rule as it's been in place.

Dumb rules are dumb rules.
Etc. etc.
If they do rescind it, wonder how Raiders fans will feel.

Throw the dam rule out. Anyone can see when a fumble has occurred especially with replay.

Re: OT: NFL will reconsider "Tuck Rule"
I guess I'm the only person on the planet who's fine with the tuck rule. :/
My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron
